How do I get from the Barcelona cruise port to the city centre?▼
It's close. Taxis reach the terminals directly, and the Port Cruise Bus runs from the Adossat terminals to the Columbus Monument at the foot of Las Ramblas. From the World Trade Center terminals you can even walk into the Old Town. See our Cruise Port Guide.
What's the best thing to do in Barcelona on a cruise port day?▼
For most first-timers it's the Sagrada Família (book timed entry ahead), followed by Park Güell, the Gothic Quarter or Montjuïc. If you want to relax, Barceloneta beach is minutes from the port. Our planner tailors this to your interests and time ashore.
Should I arrive in Barcelona the day before my cruise?▼
Yes, whenever possible. Arriving a day early removes the risk of a delayed same-day flight causing you to miss the ship — and gives you a bonus afternoon and evening in the city.
Where can I store luggage or get a day room after disembarking?▼
There are secure luggage-storage points near the port and city centre, and day-use hotel rooms if you want to freshen up. This lets you enjoy the city hands-free before a later flight. See our Day Rooms and Luggage Storage guides.
Is Barcelona an embarkation port or a port of call?▼
Both. Barcelona is one of the Mediterranean's biggest home ports for starting and ending cruises, and a major Western Mediterranean port of call. Our guides cover port-day visitors, embarkation, disembarkation and overnight stays.
